The Guy E "Sandy" Burnett Distinguished Service Award

The Guy E "Sandy" Burnett Distinguished Service Award was established to honor the legacy of a great pioneer in the field of fire investigation. Sandy, as he is known to his friends and colleagues, has provided his expertise in fire litigation, including developing the arson statutes currently used today in the State of Florida. Sandy had acted as the Chapter's Legal Adviser for many years. This award is given to an individual or organization that has provided outstanding service and dedication to the Fire Investigators of Florida for the purpose and objectives the Chapter represents. The recipient receiving this award, is one that represents that same "passion" that Sandy had, and is chosen by the Board of Directors. The award may be given on an annual basis at the Chapter Annual Training Conference.
